Match pack: Hull (H)

2 October 2015

Get all the news ahead of Nottingham Forest's Sky Bet Championship match against Hull City at The City Ground on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

Pre-match brief

Nottingham Forest take on Hull City tomorrow knowing that victory will see them move level on points with Steve Bruce's side in the Sky Bet Championship table ahead heading into the October international break.

Dougie Freedman's men have been in good recent form with two wins and a draw from their last four matches but will be presented with a tough test in the form of a Hull side packed with high-quality players.

With both teams enjoying solid starts to the season, tomorrow's game is set to be an entertaining affair as Forest aim to claim three points against Hull at The City Ground for the first time in 38 years.

Team news

Nottingham Forest defender Matt Mills is set to return to the matchday squad after missing the trip to Huddersfield through injury but central-midfield duo Ben Osborn and Robert Tesche remain sidelined.

Jonny Williams played 90 minutes for Forest's Under 21s on Monday and could be included in the squad to face Hull but Chris Cohen, Andy Reid, Matty Fryatt and Britt Assombalonga are still long-term absentees.

Hull midfielder Jake Livermore is in contention to make his first start of the season tomorrow while Shaun Maloney and David Meyler are also pushing for a starting berth after strong recent performances.

Last time out

Nottingham Forest earned a 1-1 draw at Huddersfield Town in their last outing as Ryan Mendes's first-half opener was cancelled out late on by a deflected striker from Emyr Huws.

Forest: De Vries, Lichaj, Wilson, Hobbs, Pinillos, Mancienne, Vaughan, Ward (Burke 76'), Lansbury (c), Mendes (Walker 80'), O'Grady

Hull City suffered last-gasp disappointment on Saturday as Jordan Rhodes equalised in the final minute for Blackburn Rovers at the KC Stadium after Abel Hernandez had opened the scoring with 17 minutes to play.

Hull: McGregor, Odubajo, Dawson, Davies, Robertson (Livermore 65'), Elmohamady, Huddlestone, Diame (Maloney 61'), Clucas, Akpom, Hernandez (Meyler 88')
