Injustice averted

25 October 2015

Nottingham Forest forward Nelson Oliveira says it would have been ‘an injustice’ had his team taken nothing from yesterday's match against Ipswich Town.

The Reds rescued a late point thanks to Liam Trotter, who completed the formalities of his loan move from Bolton hours before kick-off.

And Oliveira believes 1-1 was the least Forest’s performance warranted.

The Portuguese forward said: “I think we deserved more. We played a good game, we created a lot of chances, but we need to score more goals.

“If we lost this game it would have been an injustice because I think we played better than Ipswich.

“It’s a good point because we scored in the last minute, but I think we deserved more.”

Oliveira is of the belief that Forest have been unfortunate in recent matches, but that they must look forwards if they are to climb the Sky Bet Championship table.

He said: “All the players have worked hard and played well - not only today, but against Burnley, Hull City and Middlesbrough we deserved more.

“But this is in the past. We need to think about the next game. If we work like this, the results will come.”
