Nottingham Forest's Under 18s picked up their third win on the bounce with a comprehensive 4-1 victory against Cardiff City on Saturday.
Virgil Gomis gave the hosts the lead at The Nigel Doughty Academy with a beautiful curling shot into the top corner from outside the box, before the Frenchman added another with a lovely strike from just inside the 18-yard-box.
Gerry McDonagh got reward for his impressive shift by getting Forest's third, although the Welsh outfit immediately responded with a header from Shane Parry to reduce the deficit.
Substitute Tom Gamblen made sure of the three points after a cross from the right picked out his run and the youngster nodded smartly down into the net past visitors' keeper Luke Wakeman.
Under 18s head coach Jack Lester was delighted with 'an outstanding performance from the players' and takes his side to face Birmingham City looking for their fourth straight win next Saturday (10 October, kick-off 11am).
