Nottingham Forest’s Under 18s kept pace at the top of Professional Development League Two North with a convincing 3-0 win at Hull City.
Jack Lester’s side had recorded four consecutive victories before last weekend’s defeat to Crewe Alexandra and responded in perfect fashion with victory on Humberside.
Forest took the lead in first-half stoppage time as Virgil Gomis struck with the last kick of the half before Kieran Hayes doubled the advantage by beating two men and curling into the corner of the net.
And The Reds sealed the three points with ten minutes to play as Ben Brereton sent the goalkeeper the wrong way from the penalty spot to give Lester’s side a well-deserved win.
