Eric Lichaj says every Nottingham Forest player is giving their all ‘and a bit more’ at the moment.
The Reds picked up their seventh win in ten matches last night with a 2-0 victory over Rotherham United
And, although Michail Antonio played a big role in both of the goals, Lichaj says the whole team can take credit for recent results.
When asked about Antonio after last night’s match, Lichaj said: “Opponents are probably scared of him. I’m pretty sure they’ve thrown two men on him, sometimes three, trying to shield him.
“We usually try to isolate him and get him 1v1 out wide where he can do his thing. And he showed that on two occasions, getting an assist and a goal.
“I could go through every player but everyone is doing their job really well, and a bit more. That’s why we’re getting the results we want.”
The win leaves Forest eight points shy of sixth place, with Norwich City next up at Carrow Road.
And while Lichaj believes the odds are still stacked against The Reds reaching the play-offs, he believes teams like Norwich will be feeling the heat.
The American said: “I think we’re an outside chance, but there’s more pressure on the teams above us to get results because they’re closer.
“In the position we’re in we’ve just got to take it game by game and see if other results go our way.
“We’re one of the hot teams in the Championship at the moment and hopefully we can just keep that going.”
