Nottingham Forest’s Under 21s secured their place in the play-offs with a 0-0 draw at Crewe Alexandra.
The point extends Forest’s lead at the top to eight points and means they are guaranteed a top-two finish in Professional Development League Two North.Should Jimmy Gilligan’s side go on to become champions they will play a one-legged play-off semi-final against the southern division runners up, while if they finish second they will face the southern champions. The winners of the semi-final will then meet in the final. Further details will be announced in due course.
The Under 21s are next in action on Friday 3 April away at second-placed Huddersfield Town (kick-off 1pm).
