Nottingham Forest manager Dougie Freedman is looking forward to running the rule over Nicky Maynard, Paul Taylor and Darius Henderson this evening.
The Reds are preparing to face Swedish second-tier side Mjallby in the Swedish town of Solvesborg (kick-off 5pm BST).
And for Maynard, Taylor and Henderson it will be an opportunity to impress the manager and potentially earn a contract.
Speaking to nottinghamforest.co.uk ahead of the match, Freedman said: “We’ve got the opportunity to look at a few players who in the past have done very well but have lost their way a little bit.
“They are three different types of strikers and I feel, in the situation we’re in, we have to look at every avenue to get players in.
“I understand some fans were frustrated we didn’t name our trialists for the friendly against Odense but that decision was taken in the best interests of the football club.
“Some things have to be kept private if we want to give ourselves the best possible chance of signing the right players.”
This evening’s match presents Freedman’s team with the chance to build on a very encouraging performance on Tuesday night.
Freedman said: “I’m looking forward to the game - our second in pre-season. We’ve had three training sessions a day which has been very tough for the players.
“We treat these games with a lot of respect but we are not finished in terms of our fitness or organisation. We’re still looking at one or two people in different positions to make sure we get it right for the start of the season.”
