Nottingham Forest’s Under 18s ensured they will be top of the table at Christmas following a 2-1 win at Leeds United on Saturday.
Jack Lester’s side played two-thirds of the contest with only ten men after a red card for Toby Edser but goals from Alex Iacovitti and Anthony Wright earned them victory in Yorkshire.Forest started the game as favourites against a struggling Leeds side and took the lead on the half-hour mark through Scottish international defender Iacovitti.
The game was action-packed as Edser received his marching orders four minutes later but just a minute after that Wright doubled the advantage with his first goal of the season.
