Nottingham Forest owner and chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi says he is working hard to sign two new players.
Al Hasawi has already brought Matt Mills, Jamie Ward and Daniel Pinillos to the club despite Financial Fair Play restrictions.
And, while he is happy with his summer business so far, Al Hasawi shares supporters’ desires to add new faces to the squad.
He told Forest Player HD: “Fans are saying ‘we need a striker, we need a central midfielder, we need a left back.’ If I was in their position I would be saying the same. The manager, staff and I are working very hard. We are looking.
“We could bring in three players tomorrow but we don’t want quantity, we want quality to help us this season.
“I am working on two players. If it happens, I think Forest fans will be very, very happy. But I don’t want to promise.
“I am trying my best.”
The 2015-16 campaign will be the fourth under the ownership of the Al Hasawi family.
And the chairman hopes it will be a successful season to repay supporters for their loyalty and to mark a historic milestone for the club.
Al Hasawi said: “The fans deserve more happiness and I hope our 150th anniversary will be a special year for us.
“It’s a difficult division but you never know.”
