Nottingham Forest's Under 21s were held to a 2-2 draw by Brentford at the Nigel Doughty Academy this afternoon.
Goals from Joe Worrall and James Thorne twice put Forest in front but the Bees hit back on both occasions to ensure they would take a point back to West London.
The Reds were looking to build on last week's 3-1 victory over Millwall and were ahead after only one minutes as Worrall headed home from Andy Reid's delightful left-wing cross.
Jamie Fullarton's side were looking assured but they were pegged back on the hour mark as Sam Saunders fired a low effort past a sprawling Ross Durrant and into the bottom corner of the net.
Despite that setback Forest continued to play some excellent football and regained the lead soon after as Thorne smashed a shot into the top corner from 12 yards after Brentford had failed to clear a long throw from Andreas Karo.
But Brentford showed superb fighting spirit to take a share of the spoils as Zain Westbrooke curled a shot in off the far post with ten minutes remaining to make sure that the honours were even after an entertaining 90 minutes.
Forest: Durrant, Karo, Iacovitti, Worrall, Kelly, Petravicius, Rees (c), Reid (Cash 63'), Thomas (Austin 79'), Thorne, Walton (Todorov 74')
