Following the last-gasp disappointment at Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, Nottingham Forest return to The City Ground this weekend looking to extend their unbeaten run to four matches against Russell Slade's Cardiff City.
Forest manager Dougie Freedman will have been encouraged by recent performances against Rotherham, Charlton and Bolton but knows his men face a tough test against a Cardiff side who swept Wolves aside by two goals to nil in their last league outing.
Cardiff have strengthened their ranks during the summer transfer window with the arrivals of Sammy Ameobi and Gabriel Tamas and can also boast the former Premier League striker Kenwyne Jones amongst their strikeforce.
Last time out
Nottingham Forest were held to a 1-1 draw at Bolton Wanderers on Saturday as David Vaughan's first goal for The Reds, a stunning 35-yard strike, was cancelled out in stoppage time by Stephen Dobbie's low drive from 20 yards.

Cardiff City bowed out of the Capital One Cup at the second-round stage with a 2-1 defeat at MK Dons after extra time on Tuesday as the Dons turned the tie on its head following Alex Revell's second-half opener.
Cardiff: Moore, Connolly, Morrison, Manga, Fábio, Ameobi, Ralls (Dikgacoi 71'), O'Keefe (Peltier 90'), Noone, Doyle, Revell (Macheda 82')
