Dorus gets the vote

8 August 2015

Dorus de Vries has been voted as The Reds’ man of the match from their game at Brighton on Friday night.

The Dutch stopper, who garnered 36% of the fans' vote, produced several top-drawer saves, the most notable being just before half-time when he clawed Tomer Hemed’s header off the goal line to mean that Forest went into the break level.

Speaking about the save to Forest Player HD after the match de Vries said: “It’s a great save at a crucial moment. It feels good if you can be important. But it doesn’t add up to the end result unfortunately.”

The Reds lost 1-0 at the Amex Stadium courtesy of Kazenga LuaLua’s strike on 49 minutes.

Below are the results of the voting:

Dorus de Vries 36%
Matt Mills 19%
Tyler Walker 13%
Henri Lansbury 8%
Michail Antonio 8%
