De Vries takes the plaudits

23 August 2015

Nottingham Forest supporters have voted goalkeeper Dorus de Vries as the Man of the Match from Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Bolton Wanderers.

The Reds’ number one performed superbly at the Macron Stadium and made a crucial penalty save from Wanderers striker Gary Madine with the game goalless.

De Vries received half of the supporters’ votes ahead of David Vaughan, who scored his first goal in Forest colours with a spectacular 35-yard strike, and Kyle Ebecilio who put in a solid display on his debut for The Reds.

Below are the results of the voting:

Dorus de Vries - 50%
David Vaughan - 10%
Kyle Ebecilio - 9%
Daniel Pinillos - 8%
Henri Lansbury - 6% will be running a Man of the Match vote after every away game during the 2015-16 season. To cast a vote, simply visit the Forest Wall after the game.
