New Nottingham Forest signing Kyle Ebecilio Ebecilio has described himself as a box-to-box midfielder who appreciates Dougie Freedman’s preferred style of play.

The 21-year-old has signed on loan until the end of the season from Dutch Eredivisie side FC Twente.

And he is looking forward to playing in his new manager’s system, possibly alongside an old team-mate.

Ebecilio told Forest Player HD: “I like the way he wants his team to play. As a midfielder it’s easier to get in the game if you can pick up the ball at the back. It gives you confidence.

“I’m a box-to-box midfielder with good technique and passing. My last two seasons at Twente I scored ten goals, but I’m aiming for more.

“I know Henri Lansbury from my time at Arsenal. I remember him as a funny guy but I watched the game on Saturday and I see he’s really serious and leading the team. I’m really looking forward to seeing him and playing together with him.”

Ebecilio completed the formalities of his deal this afternoon and will now prepare to settle into Nottingham life.

He said: “I feel like it’s a warm club, a family club, and the city’s also nice. “When I first heard about Nottingham I was thinking it was quite a ‘grey’ city, but when I came here it was really nice – like a small Amsterdam.

“I’m very happy to be here. I’ve waited a long time for this moment and I can’t wait to get started with this club.”

Ebecilio's player sponsorship is now available to purchase at £745 + VAT. For more information please contact the commercial team on 0115 982 4450 or email
