Back to the future

6 August 2015

Nottingham Forest visit Brighton and Hove Albion on Friday night and nottinghamforest.co.uk has been looking back at recent matches between the two sides.

2007-08: Brighton 0-2 Nottingham Forest

Forest’s trip to the Withdean Stadium back in December 2007 yielded an impressive 2-0 win for The Reds.

A brace from Nathan Tyson was enough to ensure his side took home all three points from the south coast despite a second-half red card for Sammy Clingan.

2012-13: Brighton 0-0 Nottingham Forest

There was plenty of commitment and effort on show at the Amex Stadium in December 2012 but neither side were able to make the breakthrough.

The game was played out in front of a record crowd for the home side with 26,684 in attendance.

2013-14: Brighton 1-3 Nottingham Forest

Forest fell behind against the Seagulls in October 2013 but goals from Henri Lansbury and Darius Henderson just after half-time turned the game on its head.

Henderson then sealed the victory with a fantastic finish as The Reds took maximum points away from the Amex Stadium.

2014-15: Brighton 2-3 Nottingham Forest

Dougie Freedman’s first match in charge of Forest took him to Brighton in February and he enjoyed the perfect start to his tenure.

Goals from Danny Collins, Henri Lansbury and Ben Osborn earned victory in an entertaining clash on the south coast.
