Tesche tops Hobbs’ list

24 April 2015

Jack Hobbs has selected Robert Tesche’s strike against Charlton as his Nottingham Forest Goal of the Season.

The defender joined Forest Player to analyse this year’s contenders and picked out the German midfielder’s goal against the Addicks as his favourite.

Hobbs said: “The technique involved in trying to hit a ball that’s running away from you and bouncing fairly high is difficult.

“He’s finished it on his weaker foot into the top corner from 20 yards.

“It was a great finish and I think it was probably the most technically difficult – that’s why I’m choosing him.”

Hobbs’ top three

1)      Goal D – Robert Tesche v Charlton
2)      Goal E – Ben Osborn v Derby
3)      Goal J – Michail Antonio v Rotherham

Hobbs and his team-mates travel to face Ipswich Town this weekend and they are ready for a fast-paced affair.

He said: “I think it’ll be a good intensity and a tough match. They’re extremely well organised and hard-working – a typical Mick McCarthy side.

“We’re going there to win the game. We want to put a good display for the fans, get the win and show what we can do.”
