Golden ticket update

5 September 2014

Congratulations to all of my Junior Reds who have already received one of my Golden Ticket prizes this season.

There have been over 50 prizes already claimed that range from being a home or away matchday mascot to winning additional Nottingham Forest player cards.

George Lee-Brown and Warren Wilson were the first two lucky winners who received a Gold Ticket each that won them the experience of being a matchday mascot for the first home match of the season against West Bromwich Albion.

George’s thoughts of the day: "The best parts of my day were meeting all the players, especially Andy Reid and Karl Darlow, and scoring a goal in the Trent End past Karl – my Dad is so jealous!”

Warren’s thoughts of the day: “The best bit was going out onto the pitch with the players and meeting my favourite players Jamie Paterson and Andy Reid.”

Jude Howes received a Gold Ticket through the post which entitled him to be the first away mascot of the season with a trip to Tranmere Rovers.

Jude’s thoughts of the day: "I met Terry the kit man, who was great and asked us if we wanted to go into the changing rooms I said yes! Lots of the players were in there and they were all really friendly.

"I walked round getting autographs and had my photograph taken with them. I was really excited to meet Karl Darlow, because I’d like to be a goalkeeper and I think he’s the best keeper I’ve ever seen.

"When it was time to go out on the pitch, I got to stand at the front with Danny Fox, who was really nice. I was nervous but excited all at the same time.

"I felt really proud when I came out and saw and heard the Forest fans chanting “Come on you Reds!” I ran over with the players to the away end and gave the fans a clap and a wave!

"After that, Danny Fox told me to go and get the ball from the ref and I had then had a kick around with Jamie Paterson and Danny. It was the best day of my life!’’

Other winners include Lewie Pearson who won the opportunity to meet Chris Burke after the Blackpool match and have a photo with the Scottish international winger.

Also, over the last two home games I have run a puzzle competition in the matchday programme with Golden Tickets up for grabs.

Harry Storry and Bradley Price were the two lucky winners. Harry’s Bronze Ticket won him additional player cards whilst Bradley Price’s Silver Ticket won him a matchday programme signed by the Nottingham Forest first team squad.

Ben Mannion and Noah Cook were two extremely lucky Gold Ticket winners as they were given the opportunity to walk out with The Reds for their first home league match of the season against Blackpool.

Noah located his Gold Ticket in the Ticket Office whilst collecting his season ticket.

Make sure you keep your eye out for any hidden Golden Tickets!
