Nottingham Forest manager Stuart Pearce has told his side to go out and enjoy tomorrow night's Capital One Cup contest at Tottenham Hotspur.
Wins over Tranmere Rovers and Huddersfield Town have given The Reds the reward of a third-round trip to White Hart Lane and Pearce says the Premier League side will give his team a tough but enjoyable challenge.
Speaking to Forest Player, Pearce said: "It is an exciting game for us. We're playing against a team from the Premier League and, with our aspirations, we're hopeful that this will be a league fixture in the near future.
"The history we've had against Tottenham in cup competitions has been very good so if it emulates some of the games that I was involved in as a player then it will be a fantastic contest.
"We go into the game unbeaten and we'd like to come away from the ground holding the same record. It will be a big ask, the level of the opposition is cranking up a notch but it is a game that we should all enjoy."
Pearce could come up against some familiar faces in the Tottenham line-up tomorrow night and the manager has nothing but praise for the way in which the North London side continue to produce talented youngsters.
He said: "We're familiar with Aaron Lennon, Andros Townsend and Harry Kane who we've worked with before.
"Tottenham are very good at bringing young players through their system and there's every chance that those three players could be involved against us tomorrow night."
