Thomas Ince is looking forward to working hard for Nottingham Forest, and hopes to get fans “off their seats” in the process.
And, if selected, he hopes to show the Forest faithful why his former England Under 21s manager decided to bring him to The City Ground.
Ince told Forest Player: “I just like to get at people and be positive. I try to get people off their seats and be excited by what I do, but primarily I want to work hard for this team and do my job. If I can score and create goals as well that’s always a bonus.
“To come in and be a part of this squad, with the firepower and talent it’s got, is very exciting for me.”
Ince has arrived from Premier League side Hull City, for whom he has played four times so far this season.
And, while the top flight is where he wants to be playing his football, the former Blackpool man isn’t against the idea of extending his City Ground stay beyond the bounds of his current loan agreement.
He said: “The Premier League is where I want to be but I’m still 22 years of age. I have a lot to learn so to have the opportunity the gaffer has given me is fantastic.
“If, after the two months, I’ve had a great loan spell and both parties are enjoying it then there’s definitely not a dead end.”
