Nottingham Forest manager Stuart Pearce hopes fans taking advantage of Saturday’s kids for a quid offer will witness a strong performance against Blackburn.
Under 12s can watch the match for only £1
and Pearce says the offer is part of a wider project to demonstrate how much he and everyone at the club values the fans’ support.
He told Forest Player: “They’re talking about having a real bumper crowd in. We need to put a performance on and get a victory which would probably put us into the top four.
“As a football club we’ve received feedback from supporters who say ‘we need to feel more valued.’ We need to address that. I think we’ve started doing so; some of the feedback we’ve had from the question and answer sessions and open days has been fantastic.
“I, the players and everyone at the club are desperate to make sure our supporters feel more valued than any others in the country. That won’t happen quickly and easily but we’re addressing it.”

With the spotlight focused on the younger generation of supporters this weekend, Pearce recalled fond memories of his early experiences of going to watch live games.
He said: “I was travelling on the underground train to go and watch QPR matches with a couple of friends and prior to that my father and mother were taking me. It’s a family thing, and mine were born around the corner from QPR so that’s what I did.
“I do realise what it’s like to travel as a supporter and that’s probably why I have such a connection with the fans.”
