Nottingham Forest assistant manager Steve Wigley believes The Reds were “well worth a point” in tonight’s match at Vicarage Road.
The Reds twice went behind but fought back to earn a 2-2 draw against the league leaders.
And Wigley was impressed by yet another excellent display of character.
He said: “When you go behind twice to a team who are probably in the best form they’ve been in this season, we’re delighted with a point.
“They’re a good side, but we’ve got good players as well and we were well worth a point tonight.
“We had a disappointing performance on Saturday but we don’t half show some character. In the last 15 minutes I thought we were the team that was going to win the game.
“We’ve got to back it up with a win against Blackburn, we’re all fully aware of that.”
Michail Antonio scored both goals to take his tally up to seven for the season, and Wigley hopes the winger can keep up his excellent form over the course of the campaign.
He said: “I would imagine in terms of being involved in goals, he will be the front-runner in the Championship.
“But we need him to carry on doing that, so whatever targets we might have had in mind at the start of the season will have to be adjusted and we hope he can contribute even more.”
