Nottingham Forest assistant manager Steve Wigley says the players must take a ‘no-fear’ approach into tomorrow’s game against Norwich at The City Ground.
The Reds go into the match looking for their first win since September against a side who are struggling for form themselves after making a strong start to life back in the second tier.
And Wigley says the team Stuart Pearce sends out will have the necessary fighting spirit to bring the club a welcome victory ahead of the international break.
He told Forest Player: “We need people who have no fear, who will grab the game by the scruff of the neck and be positive. Saturday’s a game for people who say ‘give me the ball and I’ll show you what I can do’.
“I’m expecting an exciting game. Neil Adams has done a good job since he’s gone in, he’s set out his style and they will play attractive football. We’ve got to match that.
“We’ve got to be very brave in possession, pass the ball and make home advantage count. If we do that, come Saturday night I think we’ll be in a good position.”
Wigley confirmed that Jack Hunt and Danny Fox, who were both injured against Brentford on Wednesday, played some part in training today.
But he revealed no decision had been made on either ahead of tomorrow’s match.
He said: “We’ve got one or two other knocks as well. We’ll wait on them until tomorrow. Stuart normally picks the team on a Friday but we’ll have a slight change just to see.
“We’ve got to be 100% sure that the 11 people that start the game are fit and raring to go.”
