Mark Shaw, the latest #faceofforest, says his dreams have come true after buying his first ever season ticket.Mark, 33, was born into a Forest-mad family and has many fond memories of watching The Reds, but he is looking forward to Stuart Pearce’s first season back on Trentside with extra excitement now he has secured his seat in the upper tier of the Trent End.
Mark, who was invited to The City Ground after successfully applying to be an official #faceofforest, said: “I’ve always wanted a season ticket. It’s like a dream come true.
“The Trent End is passionate, loud and it’s also got an amazing view. You can see everything; the players coming out, what’s happening on the bench. It’s a fantastic seat.”
‘Passionate’ and ‘loud’ were two adjectives Mark also used to describe Pearce in his playing days and, while he is thrilled the legendary left back is about to take over as manager, Mark also had praise for the club’s chairman and owner.
He said: “The work Fawaz has done is unbelievable and, despite it being a cliché, the final missing piece is Pearce.
“The guy’s a legend and he will get us up. The drive he’s got will make a massive difference. Being 33, I never really saw the amazing times. But I will do very soon.”
