Following five successful years, The University of Nottingham will once again open its doors to the local community on Saturday 10 May for May Fest 2014 – a free, interactive day for all ages.With a wide range of activities on offer, there will be something to keep the whole family entertained.
As well as the return of more brain games and the ever-popular thunder
and lightning sessions, this year’s varied line-up includes everything from engineering innovations to the mouth-watering delights of the Sutton Bonington Farmers’ Market.
Ever wondered what scientists do all day in the lab? Discover how exciting science can be with free, interactive workshops designed to inform and inspire.
Did you think history was boring and irrelevant? Take a journey back in time with our historians and see the past brought to life before your eyes.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work at the University? Find out about the varied career opportunities we offer. Or perhaps you’re thinking of studying with us? Get information and advice on courses, how to apply and student finance, plus speak to current students about their experiences.
For those of you who have studied at the University, why not pop in to meet the alumni team and enjoy a free BBQ lunch as you swap memories of Nottingham?
With so much to see and do, and many great prizes up for grabs, it really is a ‘fest’ for all to enjoy.
