21 Years Since Forest Signed Stan

23 June 2014

On 23 June 1993 Nottingham Forest signed Stan Collymore.

The powerful front man joined The Reds the summer after their relegation to Division One, but his form aided their bounce straight back to the big time.

And in his second season at the club Collymore scored 22 Premier League goals helping Forest finish third, qualifying for the UEFA Cup in the process.

Collymore, who cost the club an initial £2million, made 78 appearances for The Reds, scoring 45 goals.

He left for Liverpool in the summer of 1995, but would not be forgotten.
