Nottingham Forest's Under 21s suffered their first pre-season defeat this afternoon as they were beaten 4-3 by Nike Academy.
Jack Blake, Jorge Grant and Tyler Walker (pictured) grabbed Forest's goals as The Reds lost out at St George's Park and manager Jimmy Gilligan was not overly enthused with his side's display.
"It was not a good performance," he said. "We didn't show enough urgency throughout the game and we didn't play with enough composure.
"We had a number of trialists out there again which doesn't help the unity of the team. However, I feel that this early in the season it is important for us to play the trialists to see if they are better than what we have already.
"The positive today was that the players were all watched by the manager, Steve Wigley, Brian Eastick and Tim Flowers who were all in attendance."
