Jack hunting for success

24 July 2014

Nottingham Forest’s loanee right back Jack Hunt is looking forward to helping his new teammates in their quest to achieve promotion to the Premier League.

Hunt, who arrived on loan from Crystal Palace earlier in the week, made his first Forest appearance in yesterday’s friendly against Rotherham.

And he is eager to make his mark on what he hopes will be a successful season for The Reds.

Speaking to Forest Player after yesterday’s match, Hunt said: “When I joined Crystal Palace I wanted to play in the Premier League. I haven’t had a chance to do that yet but, if I’m only here for the first half of the season, I’d love to help Forest be as far up the table as possible before I leave in January.

“It’s such a big club. I was delighted to get the deal over the line and to get started straight away was perfect for me.

“It was my first 60 minutes of pre-season and I felt quite fit. I’m just missing out on a little bit of football so I’m looking forward to getting more in before the start of the season.”

For any loan player, bedding into new surroundings can be a challenge. But Hunt has found the Trentside transition easy.

He said: “Everyone’s helped me settle in really well.

“I’ve known Danny Fox and Henri Lansbury for quite a while so it was easy enough to come.

“The lads have been brilliant and there’s no better way to get to know someone than by playing with them, so long may that continue.”
