How It Happened: 2014-15 Home Kit Revealed

8 July 2014

Nottingham Forest fans and some of the club’s commercial clients united today to reveal the 2014-15 home kit in an unusual way.

With the help of Hickling & Squires and Prosign Print & Display, a ten-piece jigsaw forming an image of Chris Cohen wearing the new adidas kit was created. Nine of the pieces were distributed to commercial clients, who were instructed to hide their piece in a secret location before tweeting clues as to their whereabouts from 11am.

Fans had an hour to track down each piece and return them to The City Ground, where Forest Player was live-streaming from above to allow supporters to watch the puzzle take shape.

First on the scene was Stu, who found Trent Navigation’s jigsaw piece outside the Navigation Brewery. Stu was shortly followed by Vicky who arrived on behalf of Hickling & Squires, having discovered their piece at the Theatre Royal.

Cal was next through the door after finding his piece at the club Megastore before Danielle arrived with a piece she found in the nearby Southbank Bar.

Paul's discovery came at the Nottingham Playhouse, a location selected by Russell Scanlan Ltd, while Sam and Jamie reacted quickest to pick up Edmond Shipway’s piece from Belle and Jerome in West Bridgford.

Conor cycled from Wollaton Hall after following clues by Conversation Pieces, Thomas and his friends found East Midlands Trains' piece at Nottingham Station before Jose arrived with the penultimate piece he found at Wollatton Park, hidden by WBPS Ltd.

And it was left to Chris to complete the jigsaw after he discovered NET Tram's piece and brought to The City Ground with only two minutes to spare, winning him and his fellow participants a brand new 2014-15 home shirt.

The excitement escalated with every completed piece as thousands watched live via the club’s official YouTube channel and, after the puzzle was complete, the kit was officially revealed on

Forest would like to thank those previously mentioned, as well as everyone who took to the streets to hunt down the pieces, for their participation and assistance.

The 2014-15 home kit is now available to pre-order at before it's full launch on Thursday 24 July.
