Nottingham Forest's Under 21s began their pre-season campaign with a 2-1 away win over Football Academy Bisham.
Goals from Jack Blake and James Demetriou were enough to give The Reds a creditable victory as they look to get valuable minutes under their belts before the start of the league season.
Under 21 manager Jimmy Gilligan was pleased to see his side open up their pre-season successful in a positive manner but insisted there is much work to be done.
He said: "We played well in spells. It seemed to be a game of two halves but with so many trialists playing it was inevitable. Overall we are very pleased with the game as it was a good pre-season workout and gives us a base to build from."
The Under 21s' next fixture sees them travel to Boston United on Monday night (21 July, kick-off 7.30pm) as they step up their pre-season campaign.
