Tweet All About It: Watford

30 January 2014

A crowd of 18,510 were inside The City Ground to see tonight’s 4-2 win over Watford and there were many more tuning in through television, radio and social media.

Following the game through Twitter was almost as entertaining as it was inside the stadium, so here is a selection of tweets from throughout the match as Forest fans rallied behind The Reds.

As we trailed 1-0 at half-time following a goal from Watford’s Gabriele Angella, @skegnessreferee was on hand to calm down his fellow fans.

“Forest have looked nervous since the goal. Let’s hope Billy gives the players the right words and gets them out fighting in the second half.” - @skegnessreferee

“@Offical_NFFC need to be more clinical! #COYR #nffcfamily” - @benmortlockk

We had gone 2-0 down after Angella doubled The Hornets’ lead but a brace from Simon Cox and goals from Darius Henderson and Jamie Mackie gave Forest a stunning success which left the fans on social media delighted.

“Awesome performance tonight from the mighty reds. Bursting with pride. Such courage. Never gave up. That’s the difference!” - @duanechambers66

“What a great result for @Official_NFFC coming from two goals down! #COYR #12unbeaten” - @Josh_Southworth

“Not bad at all. Billy Davies brings on three subs, and all three score in the order they came on! Immense! #TacticalGenius” - @tr_howard

“Great fightback and win for @Official_NFFC tonight. Didn’t deserve to be 2-0 down and proved it. #bigwin #COYR” - @shortarmgolfer

“Thank you #NFFC for giving me a happy husband, Dad and brother this evening! Happy boys on their way back from Nottingham.” - @Kelhutton13

The win extends Forest’s unbeaten run to 12 matches and they will be looking to make it 13 when they host Yeovil Town on Sunday (kick-off 3pm).
