Hobbs Signs Permanent Deal

31 January 2014

Nottingham Forest have announced the permanent signing of Hull City’s Jack Hobbs for an undisclosed fee.

The centre-back, who initially joined The Reds on loan in the summer, has signed a four-and-a-half year deal at The City Ground.

Hobbs was a sturdy figure in an ever-changing back line before being recalled from his loan, and Forest this evening struck a deal with The Tigers to sign him permanently.

The 25 year old made 26 appearances before returning to The KC Stadium, captaining The Reds and scoring the winner in September’s East Midlands derby. He will now be keen to build on his strong reputation by picking up where he left off on Trentside.

A product of Liverpool’s Academy, Hobbs has enjoyed a successful career to date. He was an important part of the Hull side which won automatic promotion last season and was also heavily involved in Leicester’s League One title-winning 2008-09 campaign.
