Young Potential is a local charity, set up and run by local people. We support disadvantaged and excluded young people, young adults with learning disabilities and those with mental ill health. We offer opportunities for the young people to take part in sports, arts, music, community volunteering and supported paid work placements. Through this we help them to gain confidence and to be safe and secure around other people. We enhance their ability to cope with day-to-day situations that usually cause them difficulties enabling them to attend school, find a job or progress to college or apprenticeships. We run a community arts centre in Worksop, North Nottinghamshire, a training centre in Beeston and a community garden and recording studio in Sherwood, Nottingham. We work with over 300 young people every year and we are supported in this by hundreds of volunteers, supporters and people who care.
We have just celebrated our 12th anniversary. Twelve years of delivering high quality and innovative projects and programmes and a substantial reputation for knowing our area of work. We are proud of our track record of making a substantial difference with young people who need the support we offer.
Our work is funded by the donations of sponsors, funders and supporters. If you can help please donate at: www.localgiving.com/youngpotential
