Billy Davies was pleased with the point his Nottingham Forest side earned at Bolton’s Reebok Stadium this afternoon.Jamie Paterson scored his fourth goal in two matches to hand The Reds a second-half lead but Forest were pegged back by Matt Mills’ header from a free-kick with 15 minutes to play.
Speaking in his post-match press conference, the Reds boss said: “It was a frantic game of football which could have gone either way. We had good chances, like the home side, and in the end a point’s a good result away from home.
“Simon Cox came on and made a difference for us in the second half, he did well for the goal and it was a great finish by Jamie Paterson.
“But losing Hobbs dismantled us. Danny Collins has been out for a long time and we had to throw him on, despite wanting to give him a run out in a reserve game on Monday. Up until then we handled their set-pieces brilliantly.”
Hobbs’ injury will be assessed in the coming days, and his manager moved to clarify Forest’s position regarding the player’s future.
He said: “Jack wants to stay with us. Now it’s up to the two clubs (Forest and Hull) to sort things out.”
