Nottingham Forest will look to tighten their grip on a top-six spot when in-form Wigan Athletic visit The City Ground on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).The Reds slipped to a 3-1 defeat at Burnley in their last outing and know that only a much-improved performance will do against Uwe Rosler's rapidly-rising outfit.
Wigan ran out 2-1 winners in the reverse fixture at a sun-drenched DW Stadium in August and for Forest to exact revenge, they must end a ten-year winless run against The Latics.
Forest's 14-game unbeaten run in the Sky Bet Championship was brought to an abrupt end with Saturday's 3-1 loss at Burnley but they have still picked up 11 points from the last 18 available.
Despite being winless in their last three matches, Billy Davies' men have been in excellent form at The City Ground having won five and drawn one of their last six home league games in a run which sees them unbeaten on Trentside since 29 November.
Saturday's clash with Wigan is a vital one for both sides as there is currently just six points separating the two teams with The Latics holding a game in hand over The Reds.

Huddersfield (A) – Won 3-0

Saturday's 2-1 win at Brighton means The Latics have now tasted success in five of their last six matches in all competitions, a run which also includes a notable 2-1 victory at Premier League side Cardiff in the FA Cup with Budweiser fifth round.
Uwe Rosler's men now occupy 7th place in the Championship standings and have closed the gap on Reading to just one point after goals from James McArthur and Chris McCann secured all three points at The Amex Stadium.

Down The Years
Forest wins over Wigan: 1 (1 League)
Wigan wins over Forest: 2 (1 League, 1 League Cup)
Draws: 3 (3 League)
The last meeting between the two sides came in August as Forest were beaten 2-1 by Owen Coyle's Wigan in beautiful sunshine at The DW Stadium.
Andy Reid's stunning free-kick put The Reds ahead early on but a penalty from Shaun Maloney was followed by a strike from Jordi Gomez as The Latics inflicted Forest's first defeat of the season in all competitions.
The last league meeting between the teams at The City Ground took place in March 2005 as the spoils were shared in a 1-1 draw on Trentside.
Lee McCulloch had given Wigan the advantage shortly after half-time but Forest managed to snatch a point late on thanks to Gareth Taylor's 85th-minute leveller.
He Played For Both
Mansfield-born James Perch progressed through the Forest Academy and made his professional debut in the 1-1 draw with his future club Wigan in August 2004. The defender went on to make 222 outings for the club during his seven-year stay, helping them win promotion back to the Championship, and scored 14 goals before moving to Newcastle in July 2010.
Perch joined Wigan from Tyneside in July 2013 and has since been an integral part of the Latics' side. He made his debut for the club in the 4-0 opening-day win at Barnsley and has gone on to make 36 appearances over the course of this season before his return to The City Ground on Saturday.

Nottingham Forest are the 23/20 favourites to take all three points against Wigan Athletic with the draw priced at a reasonable 9/4.
A reverse of the scoreline at The DW Stadium earlier in the season, so a 2-1 Forest win, can be backed at 8/1 while a 3-0 Forest victory has 20/1.
Both teams to score looks a good price at 10/11 while supporters can back The Reds to be winning at half-time and full-time at odds of 5/2.
