Billy Davies hailed his Nottingham Forest side’s ruthless edge in tonight’s 3-0 victory at Huddersfield Town.Jamie Paterson scored twice after the break and substitute Darius Henderson rounded off an impressive away display late on to send The Reds home happy.
Speaking to Forest Player after the game, the Reds boss said: “In the Championship every away game is very tough, but tonight I’m delighted with the clean sheet, our quality of play, some tremendous goals and a fantastic three points.
“We had to be ruthless in the second half. That’s something we could have done better in recent weeks - scoring that important second and third goal. But we’re missing huge quality at the moment and to pick up points in those players’ absence is very pleasing.
“The whole squad deserves great credit. We’re on a tough run against sides who are getting more rest than we are at the minute. We’re having to ask a lot of the players at the moment.
“A ‘well done’ must also go to our fans. I thought they were fantastic and I’m sure they appreciate the efforts of the players.”
