Nottingham Forest have teamed up with the Nottingham Football Centre to help find and develop professional players of the future. The Nottingham Football Centre (NFC) will be based on the site of Rushcliffe School in West Bridgford, where FIFA two-star floodlit pitches are being laid in preparation of the facility’s opening.
Forest-licensed coaches will be taking sessions at NFC and club academy staff will be watching on to identify talented players.
Academy manager Gary Brazil said: “You only have to look at the current first-team squad to see that opportunities are there for local children.
“Ben Osborn, Jamaal Lascelles, Tyler Walker and Karl Darlow are all great examples of this and, by joining forces with NFC, we hope together we can give aspiring local talent the opportunity to progress.”
