Chairman's Column: Millwall

5 April 2014

Good afternoon everyone and a warm welcome to the representatives of Millwall Football Club for this afternoon’s Sky Bet Championship match.

I must first put on record my delight that Stuart Pearce has agreed to become our new manager from 1 July. Stuart is a Nottingham Forest legend who embodies the passion, fight, and desire our supporters come to expect from representatives of this famous football club. I know you all share my excitement that he has agreed to come on board.
We of course still have a number of crucial matches to play this season, however. Gary Brazil led us to an excellent point and performance at Ipswich Town last weekend and I have a huge amount of faith that he and his staff will give us the best possible chance of reaching the playoffs.
Thank you to those of you who renewed or purchased a 2014-15 season ticket following yesterday’s opening of the early bird window. You may have noticed there has been a slight price increase this year. While I would love to make watching Forest more affordable for all, I hope you will see this as an opportunity to invest in the future of this great club.
Whichever division we find ourselves in come August I know we will unite once again and face the next chapter together.
Here’s to a new era. Come on you Reds.

Supporters unable to attend this afternoon’s match are reminded they can download the official matchday magazine to their iPad. Click here for more information. Hard copies will be available from all the usual outlets around The City Ground.
