U21s: Barnsley 4-1 Forest

16 September 2013

Nottingham Forest’s Under 21s suffered a 4-1 defeat away at Barnsley this afternoon.

The Tykes had gone down to ten men with the score at 2-0 and David Morgan soon halved the deficit with an excellent long-range lob.

But controversy abounded as The Tykes’ Danny Rose, who had opened the scoring just before half-time, was adjudged to have been felled twice in the area, first by Aristote Amisi Kamaneno and then by Jamaal Lascelles.

John Cofie put both penalties beyond Reds keeper Khaled Al Rashidi to put his side 4-1 up and well out of reach.
