Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury has told Forest Player that The Reds must continue to ‘build on the positives’ ahead of tonight’s clash with Middlesbrough (kick-off 7.45pm).Lansbury has started all six of Forest’s league matches so far, scoring twice, and said that the squad are in high spirits as the games start to come thick and fast.
He said: “Squad morale is high and the lads are looking forward to every game. Saturday was a massive win for us, we’re gelling together now and we’ll keep building on the positives.
“It took a lot of character to come back after Barnsley pegged us back twice but the lads have shown that spirit a few times so far this season. We’re looking forward to every game we’re playing and we’re confident.”
The ex-Arsenal man is set to face his former teammate Justin Hoyte, now of Middlesbrough, and Lansbury insists The Reds will need to be aware of a Boro side aiming to bounce back from a 3-1 defeat at Ipswich on Saturday.
He said: “I played against Justin a few times and he’s a nice lad so I’ll look forward to seeing him again. Middlesbrough will probably try to catch us on the counter attack and we have to be aware of that.
“Points at home are always massive because this is our home ground and we’ve got to win. Confidence is really high though and the whole squad are looking forward to it.”
