Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has spoken to Forest Player of his delight having secured the services of Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah.The 18 year old, who played a key role in Watford’s promotion push while on loan at Vicarage Road last season, has signed a loan deal which will keep him at the The City Ground until at least 15 January.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Doncaster, The Reds’ boss welcomed his latest addition to the club.
He said: “He’s a tremendous young talent. We’ve known that for a while.
“There’s no doubt that this young man is capable of coming into this side and controlling midfield. He’s got a very good football brain, his use of the ball is excellent.
“As I said to him this morning, he’s here to learn and get better. He’s here to enjoy a fantastic dressing room and a fantastic club with wonderful supporters and an outstanding owner.
“I think he’s very fortunate to be joining this type of club.”
He also confirmed that Chalobah will be in the squad for tomorrow’s trip to The Keepmoat Stadium.
The Reds will be backed by over 4,000 of their supporters in Yorkshire and Forest’s manager reserved special praise for the fans who he believes have helped contribute to an excellent atmosphere in the Reds camp this season.
He said: “I thought the turn-out for the Middlesbrough game on Tuesday night was outstanding. The way our supporters drove us forward was fantastic.
“They’re so important to us. The positivity at this club is clear for everybody to see.
“We’ve had a good few days’ preparation, there’s been plenty of energy on the training pitch and we’re looking forward to this latest challenge.”
