Nottingham Forest defender Kelvin Wilson has told Forest Player he is working hard to be fit for Saturday’s visit of AFC Bournemouth (kick-off 3pm).Wilson has been out of action for a month after sustaining a back injury in the 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough, but he is fighting to return for the clash against The Cherries.
He said: “I’m getting back to full fitness slowly but it is something that has to be monitored day by day. I wouldn’t like to say I’ll be back for Saturday’s game but I’m continuing to work hard with the physio.”
Eddie Howe’s side have shocked experts so far this season with a number of positive results and Wilson knows The Reds’ first game after the international break will be a challenging encounter.
He said: “They’ve had some good results this season and we know what a tough test it will be. They’ll be hungry because they’re trying to prove themselves in the Championship and we’ll have to guard against that.
“For most of the lads the break has been a good chance to go away and recharge the batteries. There is always the possibility that it can interrupt momentum but from looking at training, all the boys seem sharp and ready to go.”
