Nottingham Forest goalscoring hero Henri Lansbury has hailed the ‘unbelievable’ team spirit shown in the 3-1 win at Brighton and Hove Albion. The midfielder’s brace helped to spark a second-half revival from The Reds which saw them turn a one goal deficit at the break into a superb away victory at The Amex Stadium.
Speaking after the game, Lansbury told Forest Player: “The lads have been fantastic this afternoon. We came out in the second half with an unbelievable team spirit and did really well to take the three points.
“We haven’t been clinical enough in the last few games but today we changed that. We had plenty of the ball, stopped them playing and eventually we grew into the game.”
Lansbury put The Reds on level terms with an excellent header, a routine he admits he has perfected on the training ground, and says taking the three points is the ideal way to head into the international break.
He said: “We worked on the set-piece in training and fortunately today it came off. The gaffer has seen me score a few headers in training so I asked him to put me in the box. He did that and I repaid him with a goal.
“It was a fantastic victory and it is always nice to score in front of a loud away end. We’ve worked hard for this result and it sets us up nicely going into the international break.”
