Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has told Forest Player he expects to have a ‘fresher’ team for tomorrow’s clash at Brighton and Hove Albion (kick-off 5.30pm).The Reds will play their seventh game in just 21 days at The AMEX Stadium, and their boss believes that, despite injury doubts over a number of his key players, his side are raring to go.
He said: “We’ve recovered from the Charlton trip now and the lads have looked good in training. I’ve no doubt that we’ll have a much fresher team against Brighton which will help us to get a positive result.
“Guy Moussi, Kelvin Wilson and Jamie Paterson are still struggling and some of other boys have got a few aches and pains. But we’ve got a great squad to choose from and we’ll give it our best shot.”
Tomorrow’s game against The Seagulls is Forest’s last before the international break and The Reds’ manager says that it will be a vital time for his players as they rest up after a gruelling schedule.
He said: “The international break will be important so that the players can get some recovery time. But the Championship is a fast and furious league and we’ll continue working hard to pick up points.”
Brighton will be without the services of a number of first-team players for the game as their injury list continues to lengthen.
Leonardo Ulloa, Craig Mackail-Smith, Kemy Agustien, Andrea Orlandi, Liam Bridcutt and Will Hoskins will all miss the clash at The AMEX Stadium but Andrew Crofts should be fit to face The Reds despite suffering from a minor hip problem.
