Reds Remain Positive

8 November 2013

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has spoken of the positivity within the Reds camp ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Leicester City.

The Foxes have started the season strongly and are sure to provide difficult opposition at The King Power stadium tomorrow afternoon, but the Forest boss says he and his team are going into the game in fine spirits.

He told Forest Player: “We’re always positive. We’ve got winners in the dressing room, winners in the staff, the chairman’s a winner and so is the manager. We’re not perfect, we do have our off days, but we don’t get involved in outside influences. We focus on our jobs, which we do very well and very confidently.

“Our preparation for the Leicester match has been excellent again. We understand the positives and negatives of the opposition. If we can start getting the little breaks we know we’ll be okay.”

Forest head into the match sitting 6th in the Sky Bet Championship after 14 matches, but their manager insists the league table is not of particular interest to him and his staff at this stage.

He said: “Nothing is won or lost in this month. Fans can be high when we win and low when we lose. Those are emotions for supporters to go through.

“A manager and his staff recognise that it’s a long game. We know what we’re dealing with and we’re very comfortable with how we can move things forward.

“There’s a wonderful bounce about this club. This business is all about staying calm and focused on the end game, not on how things stand in November.”
