No New Problems

8 November 2013

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has told Forest Player he has no fresh injury concerns ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Leicester City.

The Reds boss will be without the services of injured duo Danny Collins and Kelvin Wilson, but he revealed that the former Celtic man had successful back surgery this week.

He said: “Kelvin’s operation went very well but he will be out for around three months. Danny is looking more at seven to eight weeks with his ankle problem.

“Guy Moussi has returned to training after recovering from a slight knock and other than that we have a fully-fit squad to take to Leicester.”

Djamal Abdoun will miss the clash at The King Power Stadium after being red-carded against Blackpool, but the manager says his suspension will provide one of his teammates with a good opportunity.

He said: “Djamal’s absence will create a gap in the starting line-up. It gives one or two others a chance to stake their claim. I’m very confident that we’ll fill that gap strongly tomorrow.”

Leicester will be without full back Ritchie de Laet due to a shin injury and late fitness tests will be given to Paul Konchesky and Jamie Vardy.

Striker Chris Wood may be away on international duty after receiving a call-up to the New Zealand squad for their World Cup qualifying double-header against Mexico.
