Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury has picked up his first prize of the season by scooping the club’s Player of the Month award for October.Reds fans voted the 23 year old as their winner after he produced a number of excellent performances in the engine room and scored three goals in the process.
Lansbury’s superb brace helped to secure the 3-1 win at Brighton and Hove Albion at the start of the month before he backed that up with a stunning 30 yard opener against Bournemouth at The City Ground.
Jack Hobbs has been the constant in the Reds defence and finished in second place while skipper Chris Cohen took third with some more typically whole-hearted performances.
But Lansbury proved to be the clear winner with 78% of the supporters’ votes.
1st – Henri Lansbury – 78%
2nd – Jack Hobbs – 18%
3rd – Chris Cohen – 2%
