Darius Henderson has told Nottingham Forest’s matchday magazine that he is looking forward to an ‘interesting’ contest against Burnley at The City Ground on Saturday. The striker, who is the featured player in this weekend’s edition (£3), has four goals to his name this season but knows his Burnley counterparts will pose a threat.
“Make no bones about it, this is going to be a very hard game.” he says. “They have two strikers who are bang in form and they are not at the top of the league by fluke.
“It’s going to be an interesting afternoon.”
Forest are the 32 year old’s eighth club in a career awash with happy memories, one of which came in our 6-1 win over Huddersfield last season.
“Reidy put one right on my head,” he recalls. “The feeling I got from that goal is one of the best I’ve ever had after scoring.”
Also featured is Jamie Paterson, who is hoping to keep his place in the side after performing admirably at Leicester.
“Hopefully I did enough to convince the manager to start me again today.” he says. “But I can’t take anything for granted, I need to keep trying to improve.”
Boxing fans will be all too aware of Carl Froch’s fight on Saturday night. The cobra gives his thoughts ahead of the bout with George Groves, Karl Darlow reveals his ‘toughest test’ and there is a look-back on September’s win over Derby County.
The magazine will be available from all the usual outlets around The City Ground. It can also be downloaded via this app from 2pm onwards.
