Cohen’s ‘Huge Role’

29 November 2013

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has told the club’s official matchday magazine that Chris Cohen still has a significant part to play this season.

The full back will miss the rest of the campaign with a knee injury but his manager expects him to still have a big impact on The Reds’ fortunes.

“Chris still has a huge role to play as captain of this football club,” writes the manager in his latest column. “I know he will continue to fulfil his duties with the utmost professionalism.

“We look forward to welcoming him back into the fold when he is fit and ready.”

It has been confirmed that Cohen will continue his captain’s column throughout the season and in Friday’s edition (£3) supporters can read his first-hand account of how the injury occurred and learn when he hopes to be back in action.

Also featured is Reading winger Garath McCleary, who is looking forward to making his return to The City Ground along with fellow former Reds Chris Gunter and Billy Sharp.

“Playing at The City Ground again will be a big deal for me,” says McCleary. “This was the first game I looked for when the fixtures came out.”

Issue 12 also heralds news of how one of our youngsters recently won their first senior cap, while fight fans can mull over Carl Froch’s reflections on his victory over George Groves.

The magazine will be available from all the usual outlets around The City Ground. It can also be downloaded via this app from 6.45pm onwards.
