Nottingham Forest captain Chris Cohen has told Forest Player that Billy Davies’ ‘attention to detail’ played a huge role in yesterday’s win at Leicester City. The Reds emerged from The King Power Stadium with a 2-0 victory, and the left back was effusive in his praise for his manager’s preparations in the run up to the match.
Cohen said: “His attention to detail is always brilliant but that was more evident than ever this time.
"Everyone was sure of their jobs and we knew if we were going to concede it was either going to be because of a bit of magic or some bad fortune.
“We got the victory through sheer grit and determination. We had to ride our luck at times, as you always have to do when you come to Leicester, but we scored twice and dug it out in the second half.
“It was great to see us doing all the scrappy stuff that we probably haven’t done as well as we’d have liked over the last few weeks.
"We need to carry that into every game, not just the local derbies in front of full houses, because three points is worth the same no matter the occasion.”
