Nottingham Forest's Under 21s secured a comfortable 2-0 win over Coventry City at The Nigel Doughty Academy this afternoon. An goal in each half from midfielder Kieran Wallace was enough to seal all three points for Charlie McParland's side.
James Demetriou had an early goal ruled out for offside before Courtney Baker-Richardson clipped the crossbar for the visitors.
The Reds took the lead on 39 minutes as Wallace drove past two Coventry men before firing home a low shot from 20 yards into the bottom corner.
Coventry weren't out of the contest though and Dimitar Evtimov produced a couple of fine saves to prevent Baker-Richardson from levelling the scores.
And Wallace completed his brace by curling home a superb 25-yard effort past the outstretched hands of Alex Gott to ensure The Reds left with maximum points.
